We stayed at Alan and Claudine's house for a weekend away in Mudgee, and it was one of the very best AirBnB's we've ever stayed in. The house is beautiful, all bedrooms are spacious and have very comfortable beds, the fire place is great and the house has all the amenities you would need. Their communication was very clear and friendly from the start as well. I can highly recommend this place for a weekend away in Mudgee!

An absolutely lovely stay at Alan and Claudine’s place! Easy check in, beautiful set up both in the house and on the property itself. We were greeted by gorgeous miniature Shetland ponies which was so fun (carrots left in the fridge for us). Overall a 12/10 stay and we’re looking forwards to organising our next stay!

A last minute decision to have a long weekend away was made all the better by finding and staying at Cullenbone Schoolhouse. A beautiful house, beautifully furnished and beautiful scenery. The beds were super comfy, the kitchen was really well equipped and had everything you needed, and the use of the fire pit and outside space made the evenings a real treat, particularly on the clear nights. Claudine and Alan have created a beautiful country home experience and it's well worth the visit. We will be back!

Could not fault our stay at Cullenbone. Fantastic property , wonderful hosts and excellent value. If you’re looking to stay at a high quality, extremely peaceful and historic place at Mudgee, this is the place to go. Claudine is a thoughtful and attentive host. She made us feel very welcome in her and Alan’s lovely property. She was fantastic to communicate and interact with. We were given lots of recommendations and suggestions to make the best of our time locally. The home was very clean, extremely well equipped and beautifully presented. We had a group of 6 and had ample space to relax, socialise and enjoy the surrounds. The kids loved the grounds around the house. The miniature horses were a big hit too! We had such a wonderful family trip at this property and would recommend it to any family or group for a relaxing break.

We had a lovely weekend at the Cottage. We loved the cosy space, the comfy lounge and bed and the verandah. It had everything we needed for a weekend. The weather had just started to get chilly when we stayed and the reverse cycle aircon heats the space in no time. Would have loved to use the fire pit, but it rained unfortunately! Would recommend it, and looks like a good dog friendly place too.

My fiance and I had a fabulous time staying in the cottage. It was such a beautiful space and felt very cosy. The property is spectacular. We loved being surrounded by nature, and our two dogs enjoyed the wide open space to roam around. We spent one very peaceful afternoon just lying in the field reading and time seemed to stand still. It was a special treat to get to see the horses and feed them and interact with them. Alan and Claudine were super helpful and friendly - always very responsive and full of great tips for the local area. Very accomodating. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a peaceful getaway!

Loved the little cottage. Was fun napping on the couch on the verandah and feeding the horses. The yard is fenced in for doggos. Hosts were proactive in giving details for local places. Super easy to find, too.
This is a great space of you want to dump all your things and go exploring the local region and come home to something comfortable. It’s hard to find places that are this dog friendly, but this place is amazing!
Highly recommended, if the space is available you should book it now because we loved it!

Gorgeous cottage in a magic location. Hector, our rescue Bull Terrier was made to feel right at home with the treats and blanket to sit on the sofa and watch the horses and kangaroos. We were delighted with the experience of a country stay and Claudine’s little touches made it extra special. We will be back!

My fiancé and I stayed over the Easter long weekend and couldn’t recommend it more. The cabin was extremely cosy, the bed was to die for and the surrounding were amazing with beautiful views.
We even went to find the miniature horses on the grounds and the hosts gave us carrots to feed them.
Would definitely come back and stay. It was about 20 minutes from the town but with a local driver it was great!

I booked a few nights at Cullenbone Cottage with my pup and had a lovely time here. If you’re thinking about booking, you won’t regret it! The cottage is even cuter than in the pictures, super cosy and is really peaceful especially of a morning. It is just 10 minutes away from town and local wineries. Claudine was extremely helpful with recommendations and really responsive. It was the perfect getaway, with so many cute little touches and care taken, especially a little welcome basket for my pup. Thanks for an amazing time, we will definitely be back again soon!!

Beautiful cottage in a quiet, private location, close to Mudgee and local wineries. Cottage provided everything we needed for ourselves and our dog to make it a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Claudine is a wonderful host, thanks for letting us put the car undercover during the storm, your helpful advice and recommendations about local wineries and places to eat was greatly appreciated. Thanks you for all the lovely treats you left for us and our dog. Found a lot of carrots in the fridge to feed next doors miniature horses which was a wonderful and unique experience for us. Make sure you bring apples with you if you plan to stay here as they went down well with the foals. Highly recommend this cottage and I am sure we will staying again some time.

This is an adorable little cabin with a view of fields, trees and hills. It has a great covered deck at the front with a long sofa. Internet connectivity was better there than inside so the deck was useful for anything requiring more bandwidth. Walking in there's a large sofa on the left and a double bed on the right. The open plan kitchen is in the left corner and the bathroom / toilet is on the right. We loved giving carrots and apples to the miniature horses in the adjacent fields. A nice place to stay if you are going through Mudgee, which is a lovely town with a great range of shops and cafes.
